The primary purpose of this study was to revisit the framework of the National Career and Technical Education (CTE) Research Agenda Model developed by Lambeth, Joerger, and Elliot (2009). A secondary purpose was to describe the categorization of the subject matter topics from eight annual CTE professional development conferences (2009-2016). A total of 338 peer reviewed presentations were analyzed to meet the purposes and objectives of this study. The total number of presentations decreased from 58 in 2010 to 26 in 2016. Subject matter topics that were highly researched included research methodology, assessment/evaluation, instructional technology, CTE teacher education, academic integration, and agricultural mechanics/engineering. Subject matter topics that were least researched were literacy, cultural competence/diversity, youth organizations, workplace standards, special needs, and policy/legislation. Data from this study suggest that subject matter topics adequately fitted into Lambeth et al.'s Model.
