Present study evaluates porous chitosan tissue barrier membranes fabricated by solvent casting method using camphene as a porogen and freeze drying method stereomicroscopically. Porous membranes were successfully made by both methods. Membranes fabricated by freeze drying method had a clear lattice like inter-connected pores and channels as compared to that made by sublimating camphene which produced unorganized dense non uniform porous structure.
