Dämmung federnd gelagerter Balken
Calculations have been made of the sound insulation when sound is transmitted through a spring element to the free end of a beam of infinite length and to a beam infinite on both sides respectively and, furthermore, of the effect of a loading mass fixed to the beam at the excitation
point. To some extent comparison is made with results of laboratory experiments and practical applications. In the systems described above a bending wave is excited on the beam by the lateral force transmitted by the spring element. The influence on the level difference of wave propagation
in the coupling element and of its losses has been studied on steel and rubber springs. The properties of springs important for applications are discussed.
