Bei der Agrophotovoltaik wachsen unter Photovoltaikmodulen Feldfrüchte und Gemüsekulturen. Diese Doppelnutzung gilt als erfolgsversprechendes Modell, um die Energiewende im ländlichen Raum voranzubringen, da die Landwirtschaft keine Anbauflächen verliert. Trotzdem werden die Anlagen das Landschaftsbild prägen, ebenso wie Windräder und Biogasanlagen. Die Bevölkerung wird die neuen ,, Nachbarn“ wohl nur akzeptieren, wenn sie naturverträglich in die Landschaft integriert werden. Zudem muss die Politik noch klären, wie sie diese erneuerbare Energietechnologie fördern wird.
