This paper represents the combination of optimal homotopy asymptotic method (OHAM) and Galerkin's approximation, namely, GOHAM, to solve the generalized Blasius boundary value problem (BBVP). By comparing the present GOHAM with those references in the literature, it is seen that the computational accuracy and efficiency of the solution is significantly improved.
