Highly Sinterable Calcium Phosphate Fabricated by Using Starfish Bone
Nano-sized calcium phosphate powders were simply synthesized by using dried starfish bone. The calcined bone was mixed with phosphoric acid and the dried mixtures were heated for synthesis. The powder compacts were fully sintered at 1100 °C for 1 h. The densified samples showed
CaO-free calcium phosphate phase and non-uniform, over sized grains.
