Free Content Marine Littoral Collembola of North and Central America

The 18 known species of marine littoral Collembola of North and Central America are reviewed, and 8 new species described: Anurida (A.) ashbyae, Anurida (A.) mara, Brachystomella honda, Friesea rothi, Friesea carlota, Isaloma (Halistoma) marisca, Isotoma (Psammisotoma) dispar, Seira nicoya. Four other species are recorded from this region for the first time. The ecology and biogeography of the marine Collembola of the region are discussed.
