Free Content Laboratory Experiments on Feeding, Growth, and Fecundity of and Effects of Cadmium on Pseudodiaptomus

The influence of cadmium on feeding, growth, food conversion, and reproduction of the estuarine copepod Pseudodiaptomus coronatus was studied at Cd-concentration of 5 μg × 1−1. Grazing, ingestion, growth rates, and gross growth efficiencies did not differ. The only detectable effect was a reduction of the daily reproductive rate to 50% of copepods not exposed to Cd.
