A Redescription of the Inquiline Carapid Fish Onuxodon Parvibrachium, with a Discussion of the Skull Structure and the Host

The rarely collected Indo-Pacific Onuxodon parvibrachium has been found in the Seychelles Islands within the giant saw-toothed oyster, pycnodonta hyotis. This is the first time that its host has been identified. The remarkable dentition, featuring huge canines on each side of both jaws, and the unusual arrangement of the snout bones are described, along with notes on, and illustrations of, the cranium.
