Free Content Tagging Experiments on the Flying Fish Hirundichthys affinis (Günther)

Download Article:
Nearly 2000 individuals of the flying fish Hirundichthys affinis (Günther) were tagged with plastic Lea tags during the summers of 1961, 1962 and 1963 in the vicinity of Barbados, W.I. The returns of tagged fish indicate daily movements in a circular pattern to the west of the island. It is suggested that schools of flying fish drift with currents which may form large-scale eddies on the leeward side of Barbados.
