Early Development and Larval Distribution of the Carangid Fish, Caranx Crysos (Mitchill)
The early development of the blue runner, Caranx crysos (Mitchill, 1815), is described and the early stages are illustrated. The distribution of the species is discussed based upon specimens in the collections of The Marine Laboratory and the United States National Museum. Food,
spawning, growth, temperatures, salinities and depth of capture are discussed.
