Notes on Some Chaetognaths from the Gulf of Mexico
Four species of chaetognaths from the west coast of Florida were studied: Sagitta hispida, S. helenae, S. tenuis and S. enflata. Sagitta hispida, S. helenae, S. tenuis and S. friderici are figured and compared and S. friderici is redescribed. TC values of S. tenuis and S. friderici are given and it is concluded that the latter is a valid species. The confirmation of the presence of S. hispida and S. tenuis in the Atlantic greatly increases their known range.
