Geological, Geophysical and Geotechnical Integration for Cable Burial Assessment
Submarine electricity transmission cable projects require extensive route corridor geophysical and geotechnical investigations to select the optimum route, evaluate soil conditions and prepare design criteria. The scope and cost of these investigations for lengthy interconnectors are
often difficult to justify at an early stage of a project before final go-ahead and route feasibility are confirmed. For this reason, the products derived from the marine survey and investigation activities need to be fit-for-purpose, use all available data and be immediately ready for use
in detailed routing and engineering assessments.
