Pile Driving Assessments, Practical Developments in Reliability for Offshore Wind Farms
Developing practical ways to improve the reliability of pile driveability assessments is essential to facilitate design and construction efficiencies for offshore wind farms. Assessments are typically performed using wave equation analysis software such as GRLWEAP and methods developed
primarily by and for the oil and gas sector. Offshore wind turbine generators (WTG) foundations differ from those of most traditional oil and gas structures as driveability assessments are required at many locations and fatigue is a critical aspect of their structural design.
