Systems Theory and Rhetoric: A Theoretical Model of Communication
Models of the communication process can help us clarify the elements of communication and their relationships within the communication communication process. In this column, we will build toward a new theoretical model by starting with systems theory, adding rhetorical elements to flesh out the system, and tehn identifying the multiple levels within which the process occurs. Clarifying these elements and levels will lead to a comprehensive model of communication.
