NURSING STAFF IN LEVEL II nurseries within the Fairview Healthcare System wanted to learn how to request appropriate consultations for occupational and/or speech therapy with young infants. The Gestational Age/Developmental Guidelines handout presented in this column was a collaborative effort of both occupational and speech therapies. The checklist capitalizes on published literature and on the clinicians' specialized knowledge.
