Report on the 'Inside Government' Conference 'Meeting the Global Food Security Challenges of the Future Through Science and Innovation'
Meeting the global food security challenges of the future through science and innovation' was the title of a conference held by inside government in London on 28 June 2011. Over eighty delegates drawn from organisations including universities, government agencies and the agri-food industry
attended the event. A UK public sector organisation, inside government, encourages dialogue underpinning the development of UK Government policy through a programme of events designed to engage, inform and educate policy makers and practitioners. The conference was chaired by Baroness Miller
of Chilthorne Dormer, who is chair and vice-chair of the All Party Parliamentary Groups on Agro-Ecology, and Food and Health, respectively. Alan Baylis summarises the event.
