Arts-based research encompasses a broad range of creative methods and frameworks across artistic mediums such as music, dance, poetry, fiction, and storytelling, as well as video, photography, and other visual arts. Creative research provides for opportunities to explore meaning, ritual, symbolism, and the visceral, sensory, embodied, and affective elements of experience, as they represent valid ways of knowing.
