Digicatenosporium polyramosum, a new hyphomycete from Brazil

Digicatenosporium polyramosum gen. & sp. nov., collected on the decaying bark of an unidentified dicotyledonous plant in Bahia, Brazil, is described and illustrated. This species is unique in its distinct unbranched conidiophores, monoblastic integrated determinate conidiogenous cells, and highly digitate branched blastocatenate reddish to yellowish brown or brown conidia.
