Strelitziana africana newly recorded from China
We document the first report of Strelitziana africana from China. This fungus was isolated from stems of Dioscorea cirrhosa and Sabia parviflora collected from Nanning, Guangxi Province. Strelitziana africana can produce flyspeck signs on inoculated apple
fruit and is distinguished from the other known species in the genus by morphological characters and phylogenetic analysis based on ITS sequences.
