Crossing Language Borders: The Case of Guaraní Markers in Paraguayan Spanish
En el español paraguayo se pueden utilizar formas evidenciales guaraníes para expresar la fuente de información, por ejemplo, ndaje (’se dice‘), así como he'i (’dice‘; del verbo guaraní e ’decir‘)
para la evidencialidad reportativa, y ra'e (había sido ’resultó que‘) para la evidencialidad inferencial (con matices mirativos). Mediante un análisis cualitativo de corpus de ejemplos tomados de la prensa amarilla paraguaya se investigan las
funciones de estos marcadores como estrategias evidenciales cuando se usan en el español paraguayo. Para ello, se comparan las funciones de los marcadores en el guaraní con el uso en el español paraguayo y se analiza su comportamiento sintáctico en ambas lenguas.
En general, el estudio muestra que en la tradición discursiva particular de la prensa amarilla el uso de estos elementos guaraníes puede considerarse sistemático e integrado.
