Cette étude des récits de vie(s) de Ying Chen fait ressortir le travail d'inscription et d'effacement qui permet chez cette auteure une exploration du temps, de l'identité, du dédoublement, de l'exil et de la mort. Le sens de la trajectoire scripturale de Ying Chen tiendrait non seulement dans un dépouillement référentiel progressif, mais aussi et surtout dans une esthétique de déplacement et de transmutation, voire de transduction.
