Animation Film Production in Beijing
Chinese animation film production started in 1926 with Chaos in the Studio made by the Wan brothers in Shanghai. According to the Chinese Film Year Book of 1927, there were only a few cartoonists in China, such as Qin Lifan, Huang Wennong, Yang Zuotao, and Wan Guchan. Most of them worked in the south China cities, Guangzhou or Shanghai.
