Scientific texts and the indexer
Walter Greulich offers some reflections based on his experience over many years of creating indexes to scientific and technical texts, usually as leader of a team of two to six people. His article, based on guidance for new members of the team, discusses keyword and concept indexing, handling synonyms and near-synonyms, and the different approaches to indexing of authors and professional indexers.
