Occupation as a Form and the Theory of Society
This article is about the relation between occupation and society, to a lesser degree about the relation between occupation and individual, and to an even lesser degree also about the relation between occupation and organization. More precisely, it asks what the modern form occupation
tells us about the character of the differentiation form modern society while at the same time showing what meaning can and must be given to occupation as an analytic category for the sociological theory of society today.
