Open Access Acoustic Behaviour of Cerium (III) Alkanoates in Non-Aqueous Solven

Download Article:
The critical micelle concentrations (CMC) of cerium(III) soaps (hexanoate, octanoate and decanoate) in benzene-methanol mixture (50% v/v) have been determined by the ultrasonic investigations. The values of CMC decrease with increasing chain length of fatty acid constituent of the soap molecule. The various acoustic parameters of these soaps have been evaluated from ultrasonic velocity measurements.
