Influence of Thickness Defects on the Acoustical Radiation of Plates Influence de la Variation d'Epaisseur sur le Rayonnement Acoustique des Plaques

Our objective is to analyse the influence of thickness defects on the acoustical radiation of structures. To evaluate correctly the vibroacoustical behaviour of structures, we have considered the case of a rectangular plate, with linearly variable thickness, simply supported in an infinite baffle, excited by point harmonic force.The vibration computed is based on the integro-modal approach, using a decomposition on the natural modes of a plate of constant thickness whose the solution give us the velocity of any point of the plate.Using particle velocities and Euler equations, we compute the acoustical pressure on the plate surface, which we later introduce in the Rayleigh integral in order to determine the active acoustical intensity normal to the plate surface. The acoustical power emited by the plate can be deduced from the integration of the acoustical intensity over a control surface of the plate.

L'objectif de notre étude est l'analyse des défauts d'épaisseur sur le rayonnement acoustique des structures. Afin d'évaluer correctement le comportement vibroacoustique de celles-ci, nous nous sommes intéressés au cas d'une plaque d'épaisseur linéairement variable suivant une seule direction. Cette plaque est simplement appuyée sur ses bords, insérée dans un baffle plan infini et excitée mécaniquement par une force harmonique ponctuelle.

Le caleul vibratoire est basé sur une approche intégro-modale qui consiste à décomposer la réponse sur la base des modes propres d'une plaque à épaisseur constante, dont la solution nous permet d'accéder à la vitesse en tout point de la plaque.

Par utilisation des vitesses particulaires et les équations d'Euler on caleule la pression acoustique sur la surface de la plaque qu'on utilise dans l'intégrale de Rayleigh pour accéder à l'intensité acoustique active normale à la plaque. La puissance acoustique rayonnée par la plaque est obtenue en intégrant l'intensité acoustique sur une surface de contrôle qui est, dans notre cas, confondue avec celle de la plaque.
