Scaling Methods for Bubble Cavitation Noise Pulse Number

Cavitalion nuclei have been measured in cavitation tunnels and at sea. It is useful to treat the scaling of travelling bubble cavitation based on geometric, hydrodynamic, and nuclei considerations. Scaling techniques arc introduced which are applied to the scaling of traveling bubble cavitation noise pulse number. The scaling of the travelling bubble collapse noise pulse number arc shown for hydrofoil, venturi and headform test data. With these scaling methods the measurements are found to scale and collapse into a single test curve.


Es wurden Kavitationskeime in Kavitationstunneln und im Meer gemessen. Eine Skalierung der Kavitation wandernder Blasen ist zweckmäßigerweise auf der Grundlage von Überlegungen zu Geometrie, Hydrodynamik und Kavitationskeimen vorzunehmen. Es werden Skalierungstechniken eingeführt, die auf die Skalierung der Geräuschimpulszahl bei der Kavitation wandernder Blasen angewandt werden. Die Skalierung dieser Geräuschimpulszahl wird für Versuchsdaten von Hydrofoils, Venturi-Düsen und Strömungskörpern demonstriert. Mit diesen Skalierungsmethoden lassen sich die Meßergebnisse in einer einzigen Testkurve zusammenfassen.


Des mesures de germes de cavitation ont été effectuées aussi bien en tunnel de cavitation et en mer. L'extrapolation de la cavitation par bulles à l'échelle réelle est traitée è partir de considérations géométriques, d'hydrodynamique et sur le nombre et la nature des germes de cavitation. Les techniques d'extrapolation sont introduites et appliquées au nombre de pics de bruit de cavitation par bulles, pour des profils portants, des tubes de Venturi et des ogives de référence. Ces techniques conduisent à une courbe adimensionnelle unique rassemblant l'ensemble des résultats expérimentaux.
