Revision of the Paris' Formula of Estimating the Oblique Incidence Absorption Coefficient

The reflection coefficient of which the Paris' formula is composed is revised at two points. The first of them is concerned with correction of the error owing to the cos law which is assumed to estimate the sound energy of a plane wave incident at an angle  on a unit area of the plane surface of a material per unit time and the sound intensity of the reflected plane wave from the surface of the material. The other is concerned with the effects of the acoustic boundary layer on the incident sound. The revised formula suggests two interesting features of the sound absorption coefficients at oblique incidence, in particular at grazing incidence.

Der Reflexionskoeffizient, der in die Parissche Formel eingeht, wird in zwei Punkten revidiert. Der erste betrifft die Korrektur des Fehlers aufgrund der Anwendung des cos -Gesetzes auf die Schallenergie einer ebenen Welle, die sekundlich unter einem Winkel  auf die Flächeneinheit einer ebenen Materialoberfläche fällt sowie auf die Schallintensität der von der Oberfläche des Materials reflektierten ebenen Welle. Der andere betrifft die Wirkung der akustischen Grenzschicht auf den einfallenden Schall. Die revidierte Formel zeigt zwei interessante Besonderheiten der Schallabsorptionskoeffizienten bei schrägem, insbesonders bei streifendem Schalleinfall.

Le coefficient de réflexion contenu dans la formule de Paris a été révisé sur deux points. Le premier concerne l'erreur commise en admettant la loi en cos  pour l'énergie acoustique d'une onde plane tombant, en un temps unité et sous l'incidence , sur une aire unité d'une surface plane d'un matériau absorbant et pour l'intensité acoustique de l'onde plane réfléchie par ce matériau. Le second regarde les effets exercés sur l'onde par la couche limite acoustique. La formule révisée suggère deux problèmes intéressants à propos des coefficients d'absorption acoustique sous incidence oblique et particulièrement sous incidence rasante.
