Excitation and Stabilization of Autoresonance Impacting Oscillations in Ultrasonic Technological Systems

The dynamics of two ultrasound vibration systems are considered. One of them consists of two magnetostrictors arranged opposite one another, and the other consists of a magnetostrictor which is compressed in contact with a half wavelength reflector. For such systems an autoresonance scheme of excitation is proposed with time-delay in the feedback circuit. It is shown that such an excitation scheme permits stabilisation of the impacting resonance regimes. The influence of the parameters of the vibration system and of technological conditions on the process of treatment is investigated, and the relations are derived which allow to determination of the optimum resonance dimensions of the reflector under load.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird die Dynamik zweier Ultraschall-Schwingungssysteme betrachtet, von denen das eine aus zwei magnetostriktiven, einander gegenüber angeordneten Schwingern besteht, während das andere ein mit einem Halbwellenlangen-Reflektor verbundener Magnetostriktionsschwinger ist.

Für die Erregung derartiger Systeme wird eine Selbstresonanzanordnung mit einer Zeitverzögerung im Rückkopplungskreis vorgeschlagen. Es zeigt sich, daß mit einer Erregung die Bereiche der Aufprallresonanzen stabilisiert werden können. Der Einfluß der Systemparameter und der technologischen Umstände des Prozesses wird untersucht, und es werden Beziehungen abgeleitet, mit denen die optimalen Dimensionen des Reflektors unter Last bestimmt werden können.

On étudie la dynamique de deux systèmes spécifiques producteurs de vibrations ultrasonores. Le premier consiste en un ensemble de deux traducteurs magnétostrictifs montés en opposition et le second en un seul traducteur à magnétostriction posé sur un réflecteur demi-onde. Pour tous deux on propose un schéma d'excitation par auto-résonance muni d'une boucle d'asservissement caractérisée par sa durée de retard. On montre qu'un tel diśpositif d'excitation favorise la stabilisation des régimes résonants pulsés. On approfondit l'influence des paramètres du système vibratoire et des conditions technologiques sur le processus de traitement de l'ensemble et on met en évidence les relations qui permettent de fixer les dimensions optimales du réflecteur chargé.
