Étude expérimentale des effets non géométriques liés à l'interaction d'un faisceau acoustique borné avec une plaque plane immergée

When a bounded acoustic beam is incident on a plate immersed in a fluid, Lamb modes are generated at particular angles of incidence. For these critical angles non-specular effects are found; they concern the reflection and transmission coefficients and also the intensity distribution. In this paper we study these effects experimentally. Particular attention is devoted to the influence of the angle of incidence, the thickness of the plates and the beamwidth. The experimental curves are compared with the theoretical calculations developed by Ngoc and Mayer [6], and good agreement is observed.

Lorsqu'un faisceau acoustique borné interagit avec une plaque de faible épaisseur, plongée dans un liquide, on observe pour certains angles d'incidence, l'excitation de modes propres de vibration (ou modes de Lamb). Pour ces angles particuliers, des effets non spéculaires apparaissent sur les tracés des coefficients de réflexion et de transmission ainsi que sur les profils. Nous étudions expérimentalement ces effets et une attention toute particulière est portée sur l'influence de l'angle d'incidence, de l'épaisseur de la plaque et de l'ouverture du faisceau. Les résultats expérimentaux comparés avec les courbes théoriques obtenues par Ngoc et Mayer [6] montrent un bon accord.

Zusammenfassung

Wenn ein begrenzter Schallstrahl auf eine Platte geringer Dicke in einer Flüssigkeit auffällt, beobachtet man bei bestimmten Einfallswinkeln die Anregung von Eigenschwingungsformen (oder von Lamb-Wellen). Für diese speziellen Winkel treten nichtgeometrische Effekte bezüglich der Reflexions- und Transmissionskoeffizienten auf und ebenso bei der Intensitätsverteilung. Diese Effekte werden experimentell untersucht; besondere Aufmerksamkeit wird dem Einfluß des Einfallswinkels, der Plattendicke und der Strahlbreite gewidmet. Der Vergleich der experimentellen Resultate mit den theoretischen Kurven von Ngoc und Mayer [6] zeigen gute Übereinstimmung.
