It is a widely known fact that just as in optics, the acoustic sound field can be completely reconstructed in the whole space provided that the sound pressure in a surface is completely known both in terms of amount and phase. This principle can be made use of for near-field measurements for the noncontact measurement of the sound-generating velocity distribution of an acoustic radiator and simultaneous determination of the local densities of acoustic intensity.

After a brief description of the theoretical bases, the good applicability of this technique is demonstrated on the basis of simple measurements.


Es ist eine weithin bekannte Tatsache, daß ebenso wie in der Optik das akustische Schallfeld im ganzen Raum vollständig rekonstruierbar ist, wenn nur der Schalldruck in einer Fläche komplett nach Betrag und Phase bestimmt wird. Dieses Prinzip kann man sich unter Voraussetzung von Nahfeldmessungen zur berührungslosen Messung des schallerzeugenden Schnelleverlaufs eines Strahlers und gleichzeitiger Bestimmung der örtlichen Leistungsflußdichten zunutze machen.

Neben einer kurzen Angabe der theoretischen Grundlagen wird die tatsächlich gute Verwendbarkeit des Verfahrens anhand von einfachen Messungen demonstriert.


On part du fait bien établi suivant: comme en optique, un champ acoustique peut être reconstitué dans l'espace entier pourvu que l'on connaise, en amplitude et en phase, la pression acoustique en tout point d'une surface. On applique ce principe à la mesure sans contact direct de la distribution des vitesses particulaires d'un radiateur acoustique et à la détermination simultanée des densité locales de l'intensité acoustique.

Après un court exposé des bases théoriques de la méthode proposée, on démontre, à partir d'une série de mesures simples, l'intérêt pratique de cette technique nouvelle.
