In recent years the measurement of drum-head impedance has been systemised up to about 20 kHz. It appears to be similar to the existing middle-ear model and suggests an examination of the measurement data to find how closely they are in agreement. This comparison shows that strong deviations exist between the measured values and these of the model.

The two most important middle-ear models of Zwislocki and of Shaw are subjected to a systematic analysis. A better agreement with the measured values can be obtained if the proximity zone of the drum-head is included in the model. Nevertheless it shows agreement at high frequencies with the measured values obtained at high reflectances.

In den letzten Jahren sind Messungen der Trommelfellimpedanz durchgeführt worden, die bis etwa 20 kHz heraufreichen. Es liegt daher nahe, bestehende Mittelohrmodelle daraufhin zu überprüfen, wie weit sie mit den Meßdaten in Einklang stehen. Dabei zeigt sich, daß starke Abweichungen zwischen Meßwerten und Modellwerten existieren.

Die beiden wichtigsten Mittelohrmodelle von Zwislocki und von Shaw werden einer systematischen Analyse unterzogen. Eine bessere Übereinstimmung mit den Meßwerten läßt sich erzielen, wenn man den Nahbereich vor dem Trommelfell in das Modell mit einbezieht. Trotzdem liefert das Modell bei hohen Frequenzen verglichen mit den Meßwerten betragsmäßig zu hohe Reflektanzen.

Des mesures de l'impédance acoustique du tympan ont été effectuées ces dernières années jusqu'à des fréquences d'environ 20 kHz. Il était tentant d'en utiliser les résultats pour porter un jugement sur les modèles existants de l'oreille moyenne. En fait une telle confrontation a mis en évidence d'importantes discordances entre mesures et prédictions théoriques.

On a soumis à une analyse systématique les deux modèles les plus importants, celui de Zwislocki et celui de Shaw. Tous deux conduisent à un meilleur accord avec l'expérience si on incorpore au modèle la région du conduit auditif avoisinant le tympan. Néanmoins chaque modèle laisse prévoir aux fréquences élevées des réflectances bien trop importantes comparativement aux valeurs mesurées.
