Usefulness in the Estimation of the Response of Finite Plane Baffles — Theory of a Developed Doublet Model, Part II —

Experiments are carried out to verify the usefulness of the hypothesis and formulae given in Part I (Inoue, T., Shape and size design of finite plane baffles. Acustica 46 [1980], 318) which estimate the response of general shapes of finite plane baffles. The hypothesis is proved to hold good. The formulae are proved to give the same pattern of curves of response as that of the practical curves of response. These properties are not impaired by the error of estimation in level and frequency. The hypothesis and formulae are quoted.


Es wurden Experimente ausgeführt zum Nachweis der Brauchbarkeit der Hypothese und der Formeln, die in Teil I angegeben wurden (Inoue, T., Shape and size design of finite plane baffles. Acustica 46 [1980], 318), mit welchen die Übertragung von endlich großen, ebenen Schirmen allgemeiner Form abgeschätzt wurden. Die Hypothese erweist sich als zutreffend. Es wird nachgewiesen, daß die Formeln Übertragungskurven der gleichen Gestalt liefern wie die praktischen Ubertragungskurven. Dieser Sachverhalt wird nicht durch Schätzfehler des Pegels und der Frequenz beeinträchtigt. Die Hypothese und die Formeln werden im vorliegenden Teil II aufgeführt.


On rend compte d'expériences effectuées pour vérifier l'intérêt de l'hypothèse et des formules servant à estimer la réponse de baffles plans finis de formes quelconques, selon les principes exposés dans un précédent article d'Acustica (46 [1980], 318). L'hypothèse a été trouvée correcte. Quant aux formules, on a prouvé qu'elles fournissent des courbes de réponse de mêmes allures que les courbes expérimentales. Ces qualités ne sont pas remises en cause par des erreurs d'estimation du niveau sonore ou de la fréquence. L'hypothèse centrale et les formules essentielles de notre théorie sont reproduites dans le présent article.
