This article is concerned with a method of measuring and evaluating displacements of balance in music within closed spaces.

Using the acoustic projection of the large hall in the Neue Gewandhaus, Leipzig, important results regarding spatial arrangements were obtained and realised. That the method is ready to be used is shown by comparing subjective judgements of the results obtained.

Zusammenfassung

Ein Meß- und Bewertungsverfahren zur Untersuchung von Balanceverschiebungen bei Musik in Innenraummodellen wird beschrieben.

Bei der Anwendung zur akustischen Projektierung des Großen Saales im Neuen Gewandhaus Leipzig wurden wichtige Ergebnisse zur raumgestalterischen Lösung gewonnen und realisiert. Der Vergleich mit subjektiven Urteilen am ausgeführten Objekt bestätigt die Anwendungsreife des Verfahrens.

On décrit une procédure de mesure et d'évaluation destinée à l'étude de l'équilibrage musical sur modèles d'enceintes. Une application au projet acoustique de la grande salle du Neue Gewandhaus de Leipzig a fourni d'importants résultats qui ont pu être mis en pratique. La fiabilité de la procédure a été confirmée par des jugements subjectifs établis après réalisation du projet.
