In addition to the strictly spherical oscillations of a gas bubble, surface oscillations are also possible. On the basis of a theoretical model for the motion of a non-spherical bubble in an unbounded compressible liquid, the stability of the surface is calculated analytically and numerically. The values of the threshold amplitude are compared with other theoretical and experimental studies.


Neben den streng kugelförmigen Oszillationen einer Gasblase können noch Oberflächenschwingungen auftreten. Ausgehend von einem theoretischen Modell für die Schwingungen einer nichtsphärischen Gasblase in einer unbegrenzten kompressiblen Flüssigkeit wird die Stabilität der Oberfläche der Blase analytisch und numerisch berechnet. Die Werte der Grenzamplitude werden mit anderen theoretischen und experimentellen Arbeiten verglichen.


A côté des oscillations rigoureusement sphériques une bulle gazeuse puisante peut également présenter des vibrations superficielles à symétrie non sphérique. Partant d'un modèle théorique de bulle gazeuse non sphérique vibrant dans un liquide compressible illimité, on a évalué ana-lytiquement et numériquement la stabilité de la surface de la bulle. Les valeurs limites ainsi obtenues sont comparées avec celles qu'ont pu fournir d'autres études théoriques ou expérimentales.
