Forced flexural vibrations are studied in a laterally fined partition under the excitation of an obliquely incident sound wave. Initially proper normal functional equations are developed which are derived in part taking into account the limiting conditions of the problem. These equations form an orthogonal system which is split up into symmetrical and anti-symmetrical flexural waves. For each of these two groups a line-spectrum of discrete frequencies is obtained with angles of incidence quantified by the sound wave source to which they correspond. These discrete frequencies are obtained by making the spatial coincidence of the exciting acoustic source agree with the temporal resonances of the unexcited partition. For each of these coincidences it is necessary to guard against the excited partition showing an extreme transparency to the sound waves. A numerical example illustrates these theoretical predictions.

Zusammenfassung

In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden die erzwungenen Biegewellen einer beiderseits fest eingespannten Wand untersucht, welche von einem schräg einfallenden Schall erregt werden. Anhand ihrer partiellen Differentialgleichung werden die den Randbedingungen angepaßten, normierten Eigenfunktionen hergestellt; sie bilden ein Orthogonalsystem, das in die symmetrischen und die antisymmetrischen Biegeschwingungen aufgespalten wird. Für jede dieser Gruppen werden die ,,Linienspektren“ diskreter Frequenzen samt den zugehörigen, quantisierten Schall-Einfallswinkeln angegeben, bei denen sich die räumliche Koinzidenz der erzwingenden Welle mit den Daten der beschallten Wand und deren zeitliche Resonanz zur ,,Konkordanz“ vereinigen. Bei deren Eintritt hat man jedesmal eine extremal hohe Schalldurchlässigkeit der Wand zu erwarten. – Die Ergebnisse der Arbeit werden an einem Zahlenbeispiel erläutert.

On étudie les vibrations forcées de flexion qui sont excitées dans une cloison encastrée bilatéralement sous l'effet d'une onde sonore en incidence oblique. On commence par construire les /onctions propres normées des équations aux derivées partielles du problème, compte tenu des conditions aux limites. Celles-ci forment un système orthogonal que l'on décompose en ondes de flexion symétriques et antisymétriques. Pour chacun de ces deux groupes, on donne les spectres de raies aux fréquences discrètes avec les angles d'incidence quantifiés de l'onde sonore excitatrice qui leur correspondent. Ces spectres discrets sont obtenus en faisant concorder la coïncidence spatiale de l'onde acoustique excitatrice avec les données de la cloison insonée et de ses résonances temporelies. Pour chacune de ces «concordances» il faut prévoir que la cloison excitée manifestera une extrême transparence aux ondes sonores. Un exemple numérique illustre les prédictions théoriques.
