Sur une expression généralisant le calcul de la puissance acoustique des jets

The acoustic power of jets measured, as a function of the flow velocity, is compared with the theoretical expression deduced by Lighthill in his theory of aerodynamic noise generation by jets. This comparison shows the limits of validity of Lighthill's calculation.

An expression is proposed which is applicable more generally and differs from the formula of Lighthill by the choice of a variable exponent for the density and of a coefficient of acoustic power, the calculation holding for transonic flow velocities and for the density of hot gases


La puissance acoustique des jets mesurée, en fonction de la vitesse des écoulements, par plusieures équipes indépendantes est comparée avec l'expression théorique déduite par Lighthill de sa théorie de génération de bruit d'origine aérodynamique.

Cette comparaison met en évidence les limites de validité de son calcul.

On propose une expression applicable à l'ensemble des mesures qui diffèere de la formulation de Lighthill par le choix d'un exposant variable pour la densité et d'un coefficient de puissance acoustique déterminé, compte tenu des vitesses transsoniques des écoulements et de la densité des gaz chauds.


Die Schalleistung von Freistrahlen, von mehreren unabhängigen Arbeitsgruppen als Funktion der Strömungsgeschwindigkeit gemessen, wurde mit dem theoretischen Ausdruck verglichen, den Lighthill von seiner Theorie der aerodynamischen Geräuscherzeugung abgeleitet hat.

Dieser Vergleich beweist die begrenzte Gültigkeit seiner Berechnungsmethode.

Es wird ein auf alle Messungen anwendbarer Ausdruck vorgeschlagen, der sich von der Lighthillschen Formulierung durch die Wahl eines variablen Exponenten für die Dichte und einen Koeffizienten der akustischen Leistung unterscheidet und der auch den Überschallbereich und die Dichte heißer Gase berücksichtigt.
