Intensity of Sound Field Generated by Moving Source in the Semi-Space with a Stratified Medium

A method based on the synthesis of results of separate sound phenomena, observed above a reflecting plane, is used for prediction of sound intensity of a moving source. This moving source is considered as the source of rest, but with a distinctive directivity factor. For the calculation of intensity of the reflected wave, the “image source method“ is extended for the case of a non-uniform medium.

Zusammenfassung

Zur Berechnung der Schallintensität einer sich bewegenden Quelle wird ein Verfahren verwendet, das auf der Synthese verschiedener, oberhalb einer reflektierenden Ebene beobachtbarer Schallphänomene beruht. Die sich bewegende Quelle wird als in Ruhe, aber mit ausgeprägter Richtwirkung ausgestattet betrachtet. Zur Berechnung der Intensität der reflektierten Welle wird die Spiegelquellenmethode auf den Fall eines ungleichförmigen Mediums ausgeweitet.

On utilise, pour prédire l'intensité du son produit par une source mobile, une méthode qui fait la synthèse de différents phénomènes acoustiques se produisant au dessus d'un plan réfléchissant. La source en mouvement est assimilée à une source au repos mais dotée d'une directivité différente. Le calcul de l'intensité de l'onde réfléchie utilise la méthode des sources-images, généralisée au cas d'un milieu non uniforme.
