The kinematics of the free vibrations of a gas-bubble in a compressible liquid are investigated. The time variation of the bubble radius, the radial velocity, the radial acceleration and the phase portraits are discussed. The results are compared with the RPNNP-model. The frequency dependence of the cavitation thresholds is calculated and compared with the experimental boundary curves, given by Esche. The results have shown that fluid compressibility must be considered, particularly for higher frequencies.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird die Kinematik der freien Blasenschwingung in einer kompressiblen Flüssigkeit untersucht. Die zeitlichen Verläufe des Blasenradius, der Radialgeschwindigkeit, der Beschleunigung und die Phasenportraits werden diskutiert. Die Ergebnisse werden mit dem inkompressiblen RPNNP-Modell verglichen. Die Frequenzabhängigkeit der Kavitationsschwellen wird berechnet und mit den experimentell ermittelten Grenzkurven von Esche verglichen. Es zeigte sich, daß für höhere Frequenzen die Kompressibilität des Fluides mit berücksichtigt werden muß.

On étudie la cinématique des vibrations libres des bulles de gaz dans un liquide compressible. On discute spécialement les évolutions temporelles du rayon de la bulle, de la vitesse radiale, de l'accélération radiale et ainsi que le profil des phases. Les résultats sont comparés à ceux du modèle RPNNP en milieu incompressible. On a calculé la dépendance des seuils de cavitation en fonction de la fréquence et on l'a comparée avec les courbes expérimentales obtenues par Esche. On en déduit que la compressibilité du liquide doit être prise en considération, en particulier aux fréquences élevées.
