In this paper linear source arrays will be considered which radiate the generated sound almost non-directional, although their dimensions are large compared to the wavelength. Such arrays are obtained by appropriate sign changes between the volume velocities of single elementary sources. The calculated and the measured radiation patterns are compared, and practical applications are discussed.


In dieser Arbeit werden insbesondere lineare Schallquellenanordnungen angegeben, die den erzeugten Schall praktisch ungebündelt abstrahlen, obwohl ihre Abmessungen viele Schallwellenlängen umfassen. Man erhält sie durch geeignete Vorzeichenwechsel zwischen den Volumschnellen der einzelnen Elemente. Nach einer Diskussion berechneter und gemessener Richtdiagramme werden praktische Anwendungsmöglichkeiten angegeben.


On décrit des réseaux linéaires de sources qui rayonnent pratiquement sans directivité, bien que leurs dimensions excèdent notablement la longueur d'onde. De tels systèmes sont obtenus en pratiquant une alternance convenable du signe des vitesses vibratoires volumiques issues de chaque source élémentaire. Les diagrammes de directivité calculés sont comparés aux mesures et on examine les applications pratiques possibles.
