Bond Stresses in Circular Piezoceramic Benders
An upper bound is obtained for the normal and shear stress distributions acting at the bond interface of circular piezoceramic flexural mode transducer elements. Results are valid for large thickness/radius ratios due to the nonlinear character of the analysis. Computations for PZT-4 piezoceramic benders indicate that there is little probability for bond failure under normal loading and bonding conditions.
