The Haemolysing Action of Ultrasound on Erythrocytes
A linear relation is found to exist between the logarithm of the time (t) necessary to produce haemolysis and the intensity (I) of the ultrasound at a given concentration. Using different concentrations a family of straight lines is obtained which have different slopes.
The relationship between t, I and the volumetric concentration of the suspension may be expressed quantitatively.
