Focusing of Acoustic Waves in Inhomogeneous Media
Focusing of acoustic waves in stratified media is considered from a geometrical point of view. Assuming a parabolic velocity variation from the axis of a cylindrical rod, a geometrical approach is presented to obtain a second order differential equation for the width of the beam.
