Sound Field Structure of Plane Ultrasonic Sources with Focusing Lens

The sound pressure field is described of an oscillator in the form of plane circular piston in contact with a spherically curved lens. Bearing in mind the effects of diffraction due to the limitation of the oscillator and the lens, functions for the sound pressure distribution are derived and confirmed by experiment.
