A Semiautomatic Speech Sounds Aural Identification Procedure with Its Application to Speech Analysis
The aural identification of speech segments suggested for speech analysis is a substantial part of any meaningful speech analysis procedure. In this paper a semiautomatic aural identification procedure is described which makes maximal use of the computing technique. The procedure employs lay-listeners and includes a listener's check, computation of the confusion matrix and punching on cards the labels of the speech segments which received incorrect responses.
