Acoustic Radiation by Parallel Cylindrical Bars in Transverse Vibrational Motion

The acoustic power radiated by two similar, parallel cylindrical bars which vibrate transversely in phase-related motions at the same frequency is theoretically calculated by multiple scattering analysis; the case of a vibrating bar surrounded symmetrically by four or eight rigid bars is also considered. The results have been confirmed experimentally.
