Sound Transmission Through Walls and Partitions
The acoustical insulation of a rectangular plate, exposed to a diffuse sound field is computed as the sum of quanta of energy radiated in the normal modes. The result is computed on the Univac 1108 and comparison is made with the measured field data, to the theoretical mass law, and
to the theoretical curve given by the effect of coincidence. Experiments have been done at the Centre de Recherches Physiques de Marseille.
