The Working of the Acoustic Reflex for Impulsive Sound
The aim of this work is to find out the protective effect attributed to the acoustic reflex and its efficiency with impulsive sounds. Examinations included three different methods of measurement and their results are described. Utilization of the protective effect of the acoustic reflex for the impulsive sounds arising in practice is problematic. The prestimulation required hereto must be carefully dimensioned to avoid any noxious effect on hearing by the pre-stimulation itself.
