The Laplace Transform of a Derivative Applied to a Problem of Partial Reflection and Transmission in Acoustics

The formula for the Laplace transform of a function with simple discontinuities is applied to the problem of the release of a spherical condensation to a surrounding fluid medium. In this way the jumps in the pressure, corresponding to internal reflections in the condensed region, are explicitly evaluated.
